For college or working girls, here’s a business casual outfit for you. I’m on my third year in college which means that I’ll be taking my majors and some classes require us to wear corporate attire or business casual. It’s like if you want to be taken seriously at work, you have to dress the part. But of course, to break the seriousness of work , be fashionable. Don’t just limit yourself with the usual dark hued clothes like black slacks, earthly toned polos etc. Think of outfits that breaks out the usual. So don’t be afraid to go with bright colors and loud prints. Get out of your way and think of outfits where in you can work and play! I admit it, I was really excited to dress business casual. It’s like an excuse to get overdressed and get out of the same old casual outfits.

Classes got suspended today and I just thought that it’s time for a new blog post! Unlike last year my blog posts were really inconsistent like 3 months of hiatus because of school. Despite my busy schedule (lol), I’ve been very diligent in sneaking outfit shoots before I go to classes and in between classes. So expect that you’ll be seeing more school outfit posts. I don’t know about you but I always make sure that I look presentable everyday at the same time I also consider time, weather, occasion etc. I’m very clothes minded and I like to really look into details. I admit i’m the kind of person who goes beyond and wants to stand out and be different. As cliche as it may sound, I do really make an effort in mixing and matching my outfits. Also, I really really enjoy dressing up. It’s a way for me to get out of stress and step out of seriousness especially now that I am busy with school etc. Take this outfit as an example, who would’ve thought that this skirt would work sneakers? You would usually wear this skirt with girly and dainty pieces but I opted for comfort that day since I know that I would do a lot of walking during that day. And of course, when you hear comfort think a basic tee. See what I mean by being different?

Finally, the rainy season’s here! I can finally wear jackets again + make use of my gray-black-white clothes. Speaking of jackets and dark hues, the weather was really gloomy that day and the temperature dropped down so i was feeling that my denim jacket would be perfect for it. I paired the jacket with a jumpsuit. Jumpsuits are lifesavers. (though it’s a hassle when you have to pee so many times throughout the day lol) It’s one thing that every girl must have in her closet. It makes an outfit look put together and like you spent so much time dressing up. Of course, without the gold accessories this outfit would be boring. I could never miss out a touch of gold in my outfit.

It’s the start of another school year. But hey, can you believe i’m already a junior? that means 2 more years left of college. lol I don’t know what to feel. Maybe anxious and excited at the same time? ahhhh Nevertheless, I’m ready for the stress, paper making and of course trying to fit my ached with my blog and work.

I swear, summer went by waaaay to fast. School has just started and i’m already missing summer. *sigh* Anyways, since, I don’t have much work for school yet, I still have so much backlog that i’m really excited to post them! So here’s one…
This is my uniform for days when you absolutely have no time to actually think about your outfit. I usually grab a skirt and pick a cute top and then I’m all set. It’s great for days like when you’re on a rush to go to somewhere, go do errands etc. It’s an outfit that can make you look put together when you didn’t actually make any effort. It was the last day of summer break and I really had to wear color. I love how red and navy gives you that nautical feel. I rarely wear color but this is one of my favorite color palettes.

Postcards from Japan: Shinjuku Gyoen Garden
Next to fashion, i’m insanely in love with travelling. It has been my ultimate dream to get to travel all over the world. As you go to different countries, you get to discover and explore their culture and visit places that you’ve only seen or heard. The feeling when you get to find something new is really fullfilling. Here’s to more travel adventures!
During our stay in tokyo, we decided to visit the Shinjuku Gyoen Garden since it’s just a 15 min walk from our hotel. I just love nature. Although, we didn’t expect to catch some cherry blossoms. The garden was still very beautiful and VERY PEACEFUL. If I were to stay in shinjuku, I would go there with a cup of coffee, read a book and just relax.

They said It was warmer in Tokyo so I didn’t pack so much winter clothes. So I was left with a dress and I tell you I was freezing to death. lol
18th Birthday Series: PARTY
And i’m finally back from my 4-day trip at Guangzhou, so this calls for a new blog post! (yay) I’m onto the last part of my 18th birthday series! The most exciting part: THE PARTY. Of course, who wouldn’t miss this part. The “CLUB PINK” feel wouldn’t be complete without the partying right?
Everyone was in all white, so I made sure that the venue was filled with lights and black light to pull off the neon vibe. We gave out glowsticks ,funky sunglasses and of course metallic balloons were everywhere. The guests were given pink neon bands that serves as their “VIP Passes”, I love how it pops in contrast with the all white <3
I really didn’t go fancy shmancy with the decorations since I really wanted that CLUB PINK vibe. So the LED Wall, really did the job that pulled off everything.
DJ Mia Ayesa kept everyone dancing on their feet! Thanks for such an amazing night!!
Everyone had fun taking instagram photos using the hashtag #MicahAt18 and getting their photos printed on-site!

Birthday Series: The Fashion Show
Ever since, I was little I was really fond of watching runway shows on tv. One of my favorites is the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, it has been a huge dream of mine to be able to watch it. My favorite part of the show was the PINK segment. I always love the quirky, fun and colorful vibe of that segment. It never fails to surprise me. I think it’s very obvious how much I love fashion and of course all things colorful that’s why I chose this theme without even thinking of another one. The fashion show was one of the main event of the party. It was one of the most stressful part aside from choosing the venue. lol But all the stress was worth it because we definitely pulled it off! It wouldn’t be possible without my friends who participated the show, my stylist Vince Flores, John Lozano for directing the fashion show and Susto Manila for the clothes!
Postcards from Japan: Harajuku
These photos were taken during our first day in Tokyo. We took almost the whole day traveling from Yuzawa to Tokyo. It was quite tiring but I was super stoked to see Tokyo so it didn’t bother me. The next day we went to Harajuku to visit the Meiji Shrine and Takeshita Dori.
I went stalker mode and took so much street style snaps around Harajuki. I super adore tokyo’s fashion sense. Compared to what I see everyday here in Manila, It was like looking at the look book feed everywhere. hahaha From the quirky prints, kawaii, cute socks and all. I just can’t help it!
These kids tho > Super cute AHHH
Tied sweaters and socks socks socks!
These kids ran towards this bus just to take a picture of this boy band haha
skirts plus sneakers
I bumped into this girl! So kawaii
We went to Meiji Jingu Shrine first in the morning. It was super easy to find because of this huge tori gate.
Saki Barrel Offerings to the Shrine
Meiji Shrine (明治神宮, Meiji Jingū) is a shrine dedicated to the defied spirits of Emperor Meiji.
Next stop was Takeshita Dori, i’m sure you’ve heard of harajuku, anime and cosplay? Well, you can find them all here in Takeshita Dori. This street is a centre of teen culture in Tokyo. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to go on a sunday so we didn’t get to catch a lot of them but when we visited Tokyo it was their "Golden Week" so there where tons of people everywhere. If you’re looking for interesting/unique fashion pieces and accessories, this is the place to be. I died going here even the salesladies where all dressed up cute and quirky i love it!
Sorry, but i’m a sucker for crepes and I couldn’t help but stop at each stall and get myself one they were so good! :(
Love how my outfit looks very much inspired by the movie Clueless. I thought I would go a bit girly and quirky since I knew we were going to Harajuku. lol Oh you know, trying to blend in. kidding
